In this context, equality team have been appointed within the laboratory. Their role is part of the national and regional initiatives led by CNRS and Sorbonne University to establish a network of resource persons working closely with research units.
Our team :
- Yaye Awa BA
- Laura BERNARD
- Christine CHAUMONT
- Romane COLOGNI
- Grégory SAINTON
The equality representatives of LUX are local points of contact for all members of the laboratory. They provide a role of listening, information, and guidance on issues related to :
- professional equality, particularly between women and men ;
- the prevention of discrimination ;
- the fight against moral and sexual harassment ;
- more broadly, respect for individuals in the workplace.
They are bound by a strict duty of discretion and confidentiality regarding any situations brought to their attention. Their role is not to replace the relevant services (human resources, institutional bodies of CNRS, the Observatory, or the supervising universities), but to support and guide individuals toward the appropriate support mechanisms.
Responsabilities of the equality team
The LUX equality representatives are responsible for :
- contributing to awareness-raising initiatives on professional equality and the prevention of discrimination ;
- relaying and disseminating information related to action plans and measures implemented by CNRS ;
- reporting to the laboratory management any difficulties encountered in the implementation of existing measures ;
- advising and directing individuals facing problematic situations to the appropriate contacts ;
- forwarding, when necessary, complex cases to the relevant institutional bodies (regional delegation, CNRS support mechanisms).
Contact
The LUX equality representatives can be contacted via a dedicated email address available on the LUX intranet. It is also possible to contact any of them directly ; their contact details are available in the Observatory directory.
